New Zealand Adventure

We traveled 14 days throughout the North and South Island of New Zealand- Bus, boats, ferry, train – even a seaplane for one excursion!
Auckland was our starting point and Queenstown was our ending in NZ
( we added three additional days in Sydney Aus at the end of our trek)
So grateful to Dave @ Experience Travel for listening to our goals at the tip top part of our planning – have never been part of a “tour group” before- but this seemed like the perfect time to have someone else do the driving and handle all travel day arrangements- We were able to relax and truly absorb the incredible sights New Zealand offered up daily!
Our hotels were quite nice with accommodations & staff. The hotel Dinners were wonderful! Our dinner night with local families (in and near Rotorua ) was FANTASTIC!!! Our group of 36 was divided up into several smaller groups – We couldn’t get over the hospitality, delicious food & wine – Along with the views their property provided!
We also had the lovely experience of having our entire group invited to a beautiful lunch at a private estate ( with 2,000 head of sheep) and the most magnificent gardens I’ve ever walked through at a home!
The food alone was delicious- but our gracious host & hostess went out of their way to make it extra special-
Walks through the amazing gardens of NZ springtime blooms made this Vacationing Florist giddy with what was bursting in colors and scents !
Several hotels had outstanding views-
Wellington was definitely our favorite city view-
Paihia-Waitangi was our favorite beach view –
Our favorite two additional excursions were the Seaplane ride over Rotorua & our Station to Station Bike Ride in Queenstown-
To sum up our experience easily -We both will say – “ There was at least one WOW moment EVERY SINGLE DAY!”
And my husband and I have done some travel in our time – Truly the most beautiful place on earth that we’ve been to – And the people there are the icing on the cake – The kindest, and most friendly you’ll ever meet!
